Coordinator, True Sport Secretariat
We are seeking a self-motivated, dynamic individual to fill our full-time Coordinator position with the True Sport Secretariat. Reporting to the Director of the True Sport Secretariat, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing program coordination to the True Sport Strategy. The True Sport Strategy is led by a Steering Committee and is administered by a Secretariat housed within the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) in Ottawa.

The Coordinator, True Sport Secretariat is responsible for:
- coordinating the development of national action plans related to the Strategy’s priorities
- researching and identifying opportunities to cultivate positive relationships with organizations and individuals whose priorities align with the priorities of the Strategy
- coordinating the development and delivery of stakeholder relations strategies and the development and maintenance of ongoing relationships with key stakeholders
- updating and assisting in the maintenance of the True Sport Secretariat’s website
- managing and monitoring all information flowing in and out of the Secretariat’s office
- preparation of meeting kits and meeting arrangements as required
- providing administrative support for Steering Committee meetings and other committee meetings related to the Director’s activities
- updating and maintaining the Secretariat’s central files and filing system
- assisting the Director with scheduling and tracking of short-term and medium-term priorities
- assisting with proofreading and occasionally translating short document
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- university degree in the fields of sport and/or health social science and/or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant position
- experience in communications, public relations, and/or relationship building
- experience in creating and utilizing social networks will be considered an asset
- excellent English and French verbal and written communication skills are essential
- professional conduct, sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with little supervision
- accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- strong organizational skills, ability to follow procedures, time management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities
- a high level of proficiency with computer applications
Starting Salary Range:
Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position has a starting annual salary range of $36,000 - $39,000 plus benefits.
